I am a PhD student in the “Mechanical Engineering and Computation” program at MIT, which is administered jointly by the Mechanical Engineering department and the Center for Computational Engineering. I am developing a robust, fully mechanistic model that captures the physics of flow boiling. The approach enables high fidelity CFD simulations of nuclear reactors, improving the safety, efficiency, and competitiveness of reactors. I work with Prof. Emilio Baglietto in the Nuclear Science and Engineering department, who focuses on improving the effectiveness and expanding the reach of 3-D, first principle based computational tools for nuclear reactor design.
With a background in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Science, and Engineering Management, I am attracted to tackling wide ranging interdisciplinary challenges that can measurably impact the world.
